Get your session ID
Your Half Price Geeks technician will give you a 9-digit session ID by telephone, text message, or email.
Open the join page
Select “Join My Support Session,” then enter your name and the session ID provided by your technician.
Download and open
Follow the Zoho Assist instructions to download and open the small customer support application.
Approve the session
Review the connection request and approve it only when the technician’s name and instructions match your service call.
Prepare your computer
A few quick steps help protect your privacy and make the service call run more smoothly.
Before the technician connects
- Save any documents or projects you have open.
- Close banking, medical, and unrelated private information.
- Keep your computer connected to the internet and power.
- Stay near the computer during the initial connection.
- Have relevant passwords available, but enter them yourself.

Windows customers
Open the downloaded Zoho Assist customer file and approve the Windows security prompt only when your Half Price Geeks technician tells you to proceed.
Mac customers
macOS may ask you to allow Zoho Assist under Privacy & Security for Screen Recording and Accessibility. Your technician can guide you through those permissions.
Do you need remote help but do not have a session ID?
